Rompant radicalement avec les rythmiques dubstep digitales vénéneuses de son premier EP, Dogboy propose avec Basement To The Attic une odyssée musicale audacieuse aux confins de sonorités organiques intrigantes, qui, à l’instar du travail d’artistes comme Wishmountain ou Burnt Friedman, explore les frontières entre expérimentation pure et dance music.

Construits autour d'enregistrements réalisés dans différentes pièces de sa demeure familiale, les quatre tracks qui composent l'EP jouent d’abord la carte de l’émotion subtile et du riddim nonchalamment bancal, avant de faire surgir progressivement les basses et la pression dans un sursaut d'orgueil ravey. Futuriste, organique, évolutif et déconcertant, Basement To The Attic est un EP unique en son genre, et c'est ce qui fait tout son charme…

Making a clean break with the poisonous digital dubstep rhythms in his first EP, Dogboy’s Basement To The Attic is an fearless musical odyssey where the confines of this world end in intriguing organic sounds. In a way that Wishmountain ou Burnt Friedman would, Dogboy scrutinizes the boundaries between experimentation and pure dance music.

Using recordings made in the different rooms of his family home, the four tracks on the EP start with laying down the subtitle emotional cool yet wobbly riddim card on the table, before gradually rising the subs and the pressure into a rave like burst of pride. Futuristic, organic, progressive and utterly baffling, what makes Basement To The Attic so successful is it's purely unique.
